HEHello were,

Keith Marshall- Lead Vocals/Guitar,

Bob Bradbury- Guitar/ Vocals,

Vic Faulkner - Bass Guitar,

Jeff Allen - Drums.

 

InIn 1968 Bob Bradbury from North London formed a group Called The Flashback Berries.

After several line up changes in 1971 he formed a new group with the above members

calling it "The Age".

Then Then with the introduction of a new manager David Blaylock they were re-named

"Hello".

Whilst Performing in Edmonton in London they were intrduced to Russ Ballad Of the group Argent.

Both him and David began to wtite songs for the band as they felt they had someting special to offer.

They signed with Mike Leanders Bell records label in 1973.

They were They were offered the song "Dynamite" by Chinn and Chapman

but rejected it in favour of "Another School Day."

"Dynamite became a huge hit for Mud and Dynamite became a huge hit for Mud but Another School Day Flopped.

Hello then released a cover of the Exciters hit "Tell Him".

It was a real glam rock anthem as it was entirely different to the original

and had leander's glitter rock influence.

The song reached number 6 in the UK and was a European hit.

They toured with Gary Glitter and other glam acts to extatic crowds..

ThThe follow up was "Games Up" a Glitter band song

but it failed to chart in the Uk reaching number 30 in Germany!

So did the next single" Bend Me Shape Me" the Amen Corner Song.

The band reunited with Russ Ballard and

In 1975 they released an album "Keep us off the Streets"

Which was wrapped in a mock denim cover!

They released

Russ's song "New York Groove".

Which brought Hello back into the public eye.

This peaked at number 9 in the UK.

 

They had several more single releases but they failed to chart in the uk.

Instead were hits abroad.

Hello appeared in the Glam Rock Film Side By Side along with Mud, The Rubettes and Kenny.

By 1976 they permanently relocated to Germany where they were having sellout tours and top ten hits.

By 1979 their recording contract had expired and glam rock was well and truly over.

So the band split.

Guitarist and vocalist Keith Marshall released a slo single in 1981"Only Crying" it entered the charts worldwide.

However in recent years Bob Bradbury fronts a new version of "Hello" who are still touring to this day.
